Monika Demel- AKA the Unicorn of Business

was born in Warsaw, Poland, immigrated to the United States and spent most of her youth in the Chicagoland area. Having studied advertising, art and design at College of DuPage she then went on to graduate from National Louis University with a degree in human behavior. She has a corporate background as a Human Resource Director as well as a Creative Director.

Monika inspires “out of the box” thinkers to flourish and to challenge themselves to push their creative limits. She loves helping companies bring their creative vision to life through the many hats she wears in her parent company, Creative M Media. A full service creative agency focused on user-driven outcomes.She frequently speaks at Design Conferences and collaborates with faculty at the IL Institute of Art on graphic design and photography curriculum.

She an award winning photographer and the founder of demel portraits. Photography has been her creative medium since a very young age. Her work has been featured on the Oprah website as well as in the Louvre Museum in Paris. 

Monika is also the founder of the “From the Unicorn”.  A video series of paradigm shifting business advice from The Unicorn. 

She lives in oakwood hills with her husband Matthew and their furry rescue animals-a labradoodle named dixie + goldendoodle named molly & a cat named Harrison.
